"Blitzkrieg Bop" (also known as "Hey Oh Let's Go") is one of the most popular The Ramones’ songs contained in the debut album "Ramones" published in 1976. The text of this essential fast-paced punk-rock song, in which the guitar is in the foreground, was written by the drummer Tommy Ramone and the title was conceived by the bassist Dee Dee Ramone. "Blitzkrieg Bop" is number 92 on the Rolling Stone list of The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time and Q magazine placed it at number 31 in its list of the 100 Greatest Guitar Tracks.

"Immigrant Song" is the opening track of "Led Zeppelin III" published in 1970, the third album released by the British group in just two years of activity. The second album of the band from Seattle mixes introspective atmospheres, punk sounds and classic rock structures. Produced by Brendan O'Brien, “Vs.” sold almost a million copies in its first week and debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 Album Chart. "Elderly Woman Behind the Counter in a Small Town" is a rhythmic rock  ballad, with acoustic tones. Thanks to simple chords, it’s easy to play by beginner guitarists.

"Hey Joe" Jimi Hendrix's historical song was released as a single in Europe in 1966 and later included in "Are You Experienced?" the first album by the band The Jimi Hendrix Experience, released in 1967 and considered one of the best debut album in rock history. There are more than 1200 covers of the song made also by the famous names in international music (the original version is dated 1962 and attributed to singer Billy Roberts), yet it has been brought to success by the famous guitarist. Influenced by folk reinterpretation of Tim Rose and produced by Kim Lambert, manager of The Who, "Hey Joe" by Jimi Hendrix is included by Rolling Stone Magazine in “ The 500 Greatest Songs of All Times” and nearly fifty years after its publication this song is always relevant and exciting, in the style of Hendrix, charismatic and innovative milestone in rock history and point of reference for all guitarist.

One of the most expressive solos of Metallica, taken from "Nothing Else Matters" a classic of Heavy Metal, the eighth track of the historical "Black Album". Built on the Pentatonic Scale, is performed by James Hetfield, guitarist, singer and author of the song.

"Nothing Else Matters" by Metallica is one of the most beautiful songs ever realized, contained in "Metallica" album also known as "The Black Album", released in 1991, which was a great success with 25 million copies sold. Easy, opened by an E minor arpeggio with open strings E, G, and the first E string, this is one of the first songs learned from budding guitarists. Written by singer-guitarist James Hetfield, this song intimate and personal originally should not have been published (Hetfield dedicated it to his girlfriend, expressing his sadness for the distance that took away from her when he was on tour), but the drummer Lars Ulrich liked it so much so he wanted include it in the "Black Album", that they were recording. Contained in the album Bayou Country released in 1969, Proud Mary by Creedence Clearwater Revival is Written by the singer and guitarist of the band John Fogerty, this song is a mix of rock and roll, blues, gospel and soul, with typical elements of Californian band: plain text and guitar in the foreground, with a repeated riff and the solo is inspired by those of Steve Cropper, with an essential arrangement. Released as a single, the song became a hit in the United States, peaking at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100. The opening guitar riff of this famous song, which has become a classic of the genre Folk, was sampled by producers Jimmy "Jam" Harris and Terry Lewis who incorporated it Janet Jackson’s song of 2001 “Someone to Call My Lover”.

The Boxer is one of the most popular songs of Simon & Garfunkel. It is included in their last album, Bridge Over Troubled Water, released in 1969. It entered on number seven on American music chart Billboard Hot 100. The text, written by Paul Simon, is autobiographical and is a response to the attacks received by music critics, according to which he and Art Garfunkel were going through a creative crisis. Behind the metaphor of the boxer who has to work to give and get hits, but must also know how to rise after every fall, there is a reflection on the importance of knowing how to stay afloat in life. After more than a hundred hours of recording in different places (Nashville, Church of St. Paul in New York and Columbia Studios) was born this particular ballad, with a phenomenal acoustic guitar and the contribution of the legendary drummer and session musician Hal Blaine, who created a new drum sound specifically for the song.

Accompany on your acoustic guitar "Home", this famous, relatively simple, but very addictive, ballad. One of the greatest hits of the pop-jazz singer Michael Bublé, it was the second single taken from It's Time, album of 2005 that got public acclaim, reached the top of international rankings with nearly six million copies sold. Even critics were positive about the Canadian of Italian descent crooner*, who marked an important step in his already brilliant career: he confirmed himself as a performer and also proved to have good qualities as author. A curiosity: Bublé was on tour in Italy when he wrote the lyrics with Alan Chang and Amy Foster-Gillies.

*Crooner: singer who performs melodic songs in confidential key, with a style and technique of singing that is mixed with jazz and with a certain type of dance music, too. The most popular was undoubtedly Frank Sinatra.

Yellow is the song that led to the success Coldplay, contained in the album published in 2000 Parachutes, which marked the debut of the British band. Released as the second single, the song was placed directly into fourth place in Uk Top 10 Hit Single. Particularly intense and exciting, full of character, in the style of Coldplay, the song lends itself to different interpretations. Someone said  that Chris Martin was inspired for the text (a beautiful declaration of love) by a wonderful starry sky, that can refers to the color of the stars, or to something as precious as requited love.

Human Nature, here in the spectacular version of the tests performed during the last tour "This Is It" was written by Steve Porcaro, guitarist of Toto, and John Bettis, discovered by famed producer Quincy Jones and published for the first time in 1983 in the biggest selling album of all time, Thriller. Thanks to its musicality, the deeper meaning of the text and the interpretation of Jackson, Human Nature is one of the most beloved and suggestive songs of the international pop scene.

Written by Leonard Cohen in 1984, Hallelujah has been reinterpreted and translated by many artists all over the world. One of the most famous and popular versions is certainly the one realized by Jeff Buckley and included in the album Grace Published in 1994. It has been a huge success.

Before You Accuse Me was originally written and recorded for the first time by Bo Diddley, in 1957. Eric Clapton later realized this song in two versions: electric, contained in the album Journeyman released in 1989, and acoustic, including in his successful live album Unplugged, published in 1992. This beloved blues-rock song never fails in his concerts, from 1990 to present.

The successful melodic song You've got a Friend, an hymn to friendship, written by the prolific author Carole King in 1971, it was later reinterpreted by many artists. The cover by James Taylor, contained in the album Mud Slide Slim and the Blue Horizon, published by the American singer in 1971, is one of the most known and appreciated ones, enriched by beautiful vocal melodies accompanied by acoustic guitar.

Piazza Grande is one of the most famous and popular songs of Lucio Dalla. This poetic and touching song was presented in competition at the Sanremo Festival in 1972, finishing eighth. Dedicated to a homeless who really lived, it tells about the desire for freedom and love, defends choices in life, though difficult, and refers to the splendid Piazza Maggiore in Bologna, loved by Dalla.

Written by Toto Cutugno and Cristiano “Popi” Minellono, the song L’Italiano, included in the homonymous album published in 1983, is famous all over the world and has gained great popularity. Cutugno, playing only his guitar, sings the vices, virtues and common places of Italy, expressing love and patriotic pride. Many Italian and foreign artists have made covers of this song.

First single from the album Dangerous, released in October 1991, Black or White, by Michael Jackson, is considered the best selling rock song of the 90s. The style of music is a mix of hard rock, dance and rap. It was written, composed and arranged by the same Jackson, with the addition of a rap part by Bill Bottrell. The initial electric guitar riff played by Slash, guitarist for Guns N Roses, with the participation of Tim Pierce as a second guitar.

Play On the Turning Away, electric version. This song is one of the most loved of Pink Floyd’s post-Waters, written by David Gilmour, included in the album A Momentary Lapse of Reason of 1987.
